Nakhodka customs office informs: in the export to China of raw wood required to provide a phytosanitary certificate confirming the absence of harmful organisms.

When exporting to China debarked timber exporters of the need to treat the wood against pests (fumigation). Information about processing is specified in phytosanitary certificate (methods, time, temperature of processing, the chemicals used, their dosage).

In cases, when imported into China, the wood has the bark and were not processed or detected pests, Chinese customs authorities shall inform the shipper about the need for treatment, the return of the wood or its destruction.
