Saint-Petersburg customs: 3.5 million gloves are not passed customs control

Saint-Petersburg customs foiled another attempt of export of personal protective equipment.

On the southern customs post of St. Petersburg customs as a result of the customs inspection detained consignment, consisting of 3 585 900 pieces of “plastic disposable gloves”. The total weight of goods amounted to about 2 tons, at a cost of 28 thousand euros.

Participant of foreign economic activity planned to put this lot of goods under the customs procedure of export for export to Poland.

– “Plastic disposable gloves” and other such goods related to personal protection, be temporarily prohibited for export from the territory of the Russian Federation in accordance with the Decision of the Board Eurasian economic Commission of 24 March 2020 № 41 “About modification in the Decision of the Board of the Eurasian economic Commission on 21.04.2015 № 30 “About measures of non-tariff regulation”, – said the acting head of the southern customs post of St. Petersburg customs Sergey Bolotov.

He also said that upon the failure of a participant of foreign economic activity of the ban on the export of goods criminal case concerning an administrative offense under article 16.3 of the administrative code of Russia. The goods were seized.
