Passenger traffic at the customs post of the Airport of Ufa at the beginning of the year increased 84 percent

Almost doubled the number of inhabitants of Bashkiria who prefer to spend holidays outside the country.

For the first two weeks 2020 air border of the Eurasian economic Union at the customs post Airport Ufa Bashkortostan customs have crossed more than 19.5 million passengers, which is 84 % higher than the same period last year, more than 100 aircraft – 62 % more than in 2019.

According to the head of the customs office Airport Ufa Sergei Melnikov, a record growth of passenger traffic due to the increased in the new year holidays the frequency of flights from the international airport “Ufa” in Dubai and Istanbul. Passenger traffic on these popular destinations grew by 2.7 times. He also noted that this surge is typical for a vacation period, later statistics stabiliziruemost.

From 1 to 14 January 2020 at the customs post of the Airport of Ufa were instituted, 25 cases of administrative offences (in 2019 – 18). 4 – regarding the exceedance of the norms of import of alcohol products, and 2 – in relation to the import of edged weapons (knives), and illegal transfer of funds 1 – in relation to the illegal movement of potent drug (phenazepam), 16 − concerning objects that come under the CITES (the import of corals).

For reference: in 2019 through a customs post of the Airport of Ufa has passed 791250 passengers (7.5% more than in 2018), decorated 4249 aircraft (growth to 2018 2.2 %), 942 filed cases on administrative offences (an increase from the 2018 and 31.5%).
