Vyborg customs: on the shelves of local shops identified banned products
During the customs inspection of premises and territories retail store in one of settlements of the Vyborg district officials of Department of customs control after release of goods of the Vyborg customs discovered food products, proposed implementation, the import of which into the Russian Federation is prohibited by resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation of 7 August 2014 No. 778, by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 6 August 2014 № 560.
Products (butter, cheese, sausages, fish fillets) were in a primary pack labelled in a foreign language, indicating the countries of origin of the European Union.
According to the results of the event by officials of Department of customs control after release of goods seized 11.5 kg of banned products. All seized goods are placed in temporary storage and will be transferred to the relevant authority for disposal in accordance with Russian law.
Reference: Vyborg customs on a regular basis carried out spot checks of outlets in the domestic market of the city of Vyborg, the Vyborg district and the Leningrad region for the implementation of the sanctions.
In 2019, officials of Department of customs control after release of goods held test events, in which are found goods prohibited for import to the territory of the Russian Federation. Just from the shelves of retailers seized more than 158 kg of “sanctions” products.
