A commercial shipment of perfume was discovered at Kazan International Airport during customs control of the luggage of passengers arriving on a flight from Dushanbe.

The 28-year-old native of Tajikistan chose the “green corridor” to pass through customs control, thereby declaring that he had no goods to declare. But during the random control, 48 bottles of perfume and 48 pieces of perfumed soap were found in his luggage. All of the Saudi Arabian-made goods were in their original packaging.

The quantity of the goods prevented customs officials from classifying them as goods for personal use. Moving commercial shipments across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union requires customs declaration

The Russian citizen explained his actions by ignorance of the law

A case on administrative offense was initiated against the citizen for non-declaration of goods, responsibility for which is provided by part 1 of article 16.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
