Also in 2023, the first export shipments of Urals alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as absorbent cotton, felt, felt and yarn were made. One of the most popular Urals goods in Africa are finished products from cereals, flour and starch, their supplies increased 7 times: in 2023, 260 tons worth 145 thousand dollars were shipped from the Urals

Apparel imports from Africa to the Urals doubled last year. For the first time in 2023, fruits and nuts were brought from Africa to the Urals: almost 50 tons worth 150 thousand dollars. In addition, carpets were imported for the first time, more than 18 tons worth 57 thousand dollars

“The trend of change of directions of foreign trade turnover is expected and predictable. When markets in unfriendly countries were closed, new logistic and foreign trade corridors opened up. Trade with African countries will only increase. The task of the customs authorities is to help businesses establish deliveries, exercising control quickly and transparently,” said Alexei Frolov, Head of the Urals Customs Directorate
