The results of foreign trade of the northwestern Federal district for 2019

Foreign trade turnover of the northwestern Federal district in 2019, slightly exceeded the level in 2018 (+0,02%) and amounted to 88 billion 460 million dollars.

The export volume amounted to 50 billion 745 million U.S. dollars, imports of 37 billion 715 million dollars. Exports decreased by 0.2%, import increased by 0.4%.

In the distribution of exports by regions of the Russian Federation within the northwestern Federal district, leaders of St. Petersburg (54,4%), Leningrad oblast (13,5%), Vologda oblast (8,5%). First place in imports is St. Petersburg (61,2%), the second place – the Kaliningrad region (21,2%), third – Leningrad region (10.4%).
