The Astrakhan customs officers opened a criminal case on the fact of evasion from payment of customs payments
More than 9 million rubles, according to experts, amounted to the market value of the smuggled goods which were in one of the cargo vehicles detained at the traffic police post “Erzovskijj” the city of Volgograd.
The result of verification activities conducted by the mobile group of the Astrakhan customs office in cooperation with the operational units in gorodishchensky district of Volgograd, had stopped the vehicle for the international carriage under control of the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, transporting General cargo of children’s toys, Christmas decorations, sports shoes and silicone sealants from Kyrgyz Republic to buyer’s address registered in Moscow.

“In 2018 and 2019, Astrakhan custom was instituted 11 criminal cases on the facts of evasion from payment of customs payments, the amount of damage amounted to about 100 million rubles,” – commented the Deputy chief of the Astrakhan customs Vitaly Kukharenko.
