Rostov customs officers uncovered more than 12 tons of undeclared tobacco in 2023

In 2023, employees of the department of control over import and turnover of goods of the customs control service after the release of goods Rostov Customs conducted 136 inspection activities in the domestic market of the country. The inspections were carried out in various cities of the Rostov region, including in cooperation with Taganrog, Volga-Don, Likhovskaya, Salskaya and Rostov transport prosecutor’s offices

The results of the measures revealed and seized from circulation 12.1 tons of undeclared tobacco, about 7 thousand counterfeit goods and 500 kg of sanctioned products. The total value of confiscated goods amounted to over 31 million rubles. The damage to the right holders of trademarks in the amount of more than 5.2 million rubles was prevented

Forty-one cases on administrative offenses and 12 criminal cases were initiated.
