Kemerovo customs officers have identified more than 37,000 packs of unlabeled cigarettes in four Novokuznetsk stores.

The inspection measures in the framework of control over import and turnover of goods in the domestic market were held jointly with employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kemerovo region – Kuzbass.  

With the help of specialists of the cynological department of Kemerovo customs and service dog – Belgian shepherd dog named Mira, the largest batch of tobacco products without excise stamps and “Data Matrix” labeling from the beginning of this year was revealed – 37,372 packs of cigarettes. Illegal tobacco products were seized.  

It should be noted that in 2023 Kemerovo customs officers seized 72,800 packs of cigarettes without labeling and excise taxes from illegal circulation. This is the second after the Novosibirsk region (77 thousand packs of cigarettes) the result on detection of illegal tobacco products in Siberia
