Kemerovo customs officers have detected a narcotic drug and psychotropic substance in an international parcel from Spain.
As a result of operational and investigative measures, customs officers found that a resident of the Kemerovo region had ordered the prohibited substances on the Internet, transferring payment to the seller via a crypto-wallet.

While receiving the parcel, the customer was detained by customs and police officers. The results of the examination confirmed the presence of marijuana with a total mass of more than 6 grams in the parcel, as well as imported pills containing a psychotropic substance
Kemerovo Customs initiated criminal proceedings against the Russian citizen under paragraphs “a” and “c” of part 2 of article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (smuggling of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by prior conspiracy in a significant amount). This offense carries a penalty of up to 10 years’ imprisonment with a fine of up to one million rubles
