Perm Customs has 2 service dogs trained to search for money, drugs, tobacco and tobacco products.
In 2023, according to the results of participation of specialists-cynologists of Perm customs in customs control and operational-search activities, 17 facts of detection of illegal movement of controlled substances and money were confirmed (in 2022 – 6 facts):
– 10 facts – tobacco products in the amount of 1 block and 7 kg of tobacco;
– 4 facts – cash;
– 3 facts – narcotic drugs weighing 785 g, potent substances weighing 10 g.
Cynologists of Perm customs annually take part in regional competitions. In 2023 they took the 3rd place in the team competition according to the results of three disciplines (search for narcotics, search for money, obedience).
