A representative of the North-West Customs Directorate spoke at the business seminar “Doing Business with Vietnam” at the LOTPP

Elena Bazhenova, Head of the Customs Payments Department of the NWTU, spoke at the business seminar on “Specifics of customs tariff regulation and customs procedures when working with Vietnamese companies”.

The event was organized by the Leningrad Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and speakers also included representatives of business and trade associations, a law firm, a travel industry and a financial operations specialist

All participants of the event noted that Vietnam is a promising strategic partner with a dynamically developing economy

Elena Bazhenova told the seminar participants about the existence of the Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and its member states, on the one hand, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This agreement establishes rules of origin applicable exclusively for the purposes of granting preferential tariff treatment to goods originating from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Customs authorities are open and ready to work together in various formats to strengthen trade and economic ties between our countries, and on their part will continue to do everything necessary to ensure the acceleration of control processes, Elena Bazhenova assured in her speech.
