Karelian customs informs on the extension of the temporary carts vehicles for personal use

28 may 2020 comes into force a decision of the Board Eurasian economic Commission of 29 April 2020 No. 47, “amending certain terms of the importation of goods for personal use”.

The adoption of this decision by the Council of the Eurasian economic Commission is due to the current situation related to the implementation of measures aimed at warning and preventing the spread of coronavirus infections 2019-nCoV, the inability of individuals to exercise their rights and perform duties in accordance with governing customs legal relations in the international treaties and acts constituting the right of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU).

This solution is provided that in the case that the time limit of temporary import of vehicles for personal use into the customs territory of the Eurasian economic Union (1 year) will expire in the period from March 1, 2020 September 30, 2020, the for a given period shall be extended until 30 September 2020.

The extension of the term of temporary import of the vehicle in this case is carried out without the permission of the customs authority without the customs Declaration.

Please pay attention that before the expiry of the deadline (30 September 2020) temporarily imported vehicles for personal use must be declared for export from the customs territory of the EAEU of release for free circulation or other purposes in accordance with the Customs code of the EAEU.

Also please note that in case of expiry of the term of temporary import of vehicles for personal use that was installed by the customs authority at least limit, its extension within 1 year is carried out in a General manner. To extend such a period the physical person must apply before the expiry of the period of temporary importation by the customs authority in the region of which it temporarily resides or resides in accordance with the list established by Annex 1 to order of Ministry of Finance of Russia from January 14, 2020 No. 4n, a statement of arbitrary shape, the need to extend the deadline, or to submit to the official of the customs body of the Declaration or other document furnished by the customs authority for the temporary importation.
