A ton of smuggled wine from Abkhazia was seized by customs officers at the Adler post

Officers of the Adler customs post found 800 bottles of smuggled alcohol in a minivan arriving from Abkhazia

The minivan was stopped for inspection, during which it was found that the vehicle was carrying a batch of red and white wine produced by the Republic of Abkhazia. The weight of the detained alcoholic beverages is almost a ton, and the cost – more than 500 thousand rubles

The driver explained that he bought alcohol for personal use in one of the Abkhazian stores. He did not submit a customs declaration

The alcohol was seized. A criminal case was opened under part 1 of article 200.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (smuggling of alcoholic beverages)

Operative information on the car was received from the Service in Sochi of the FSS of Russia in Krasnodar region
