4.3 tons of consumer goods were detained by Ussuriysk customs officers while attempting to illegally import them into the Russian Federation. The offense was detected at the Ussuriysk customs post (Primorsky Krai). The goods were imported from China in violation of customs regulations.

A company-importer from St. Petersburg submitted a customs declaration for import from China of 20 tons of various consumer goods (sandpaper, artificial flowers and fishing accessories). When checking the documents, the risk of violation of customs legislation was detected and customs inspection was carried out

According to Dmitry Kirienko, head of the Ussuriysk customs post, the inspection of the lorry at the temporary storage warehouse revealed undeclared goods, 27 items: furniture, car phone holders, wood boxes, lamps and more. The total weight of undeclared goods – 4.3 tons, the value – almost 2 million rubles

The Ussuriysk Customs initiated an administrative offense case against the exporter under Part 1 of Article 16.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Russia (non-declaration of goods). The company faces a fine of one second to two times the value of the goods, with confiscation

The goods have been seized and placed in custody. An administrative investigation is underway.
