Southern Electronic Customs: average time to register a goods declaration reduced by 40%

Southern Electronic Customs transferred 96.4 billion rubles to the federal budget in 2023

The Southern Customs Post (electronic declaration center) auto-registered 85.9% of goods declarations, which is 9.5% more than in 2022 (76.4%). 9.1% more declarations were issued in automatic mode (26.5%) compared to last year (17.4%). The average time for registration of goods declarations was reduced by 40%: from 5.42 minutes to 3.23 minutes, and the average time for issuance of risk-free shipments is 20.57 minutes, 23.54 minutes faster than in 2022. The percentage of declarations released within 4 hours is above 91%.

The customs law enforcement unit initiated 704 cases on administrative offenses in 2023, 64% of them on smuggling offenses (453 cases). Based on the results of investigations, customs duties and taxes worth more than 77 million rubles were paid as compensation for the damage caused by the offense, and fines were imposed in the amount of 50.1 million rubles.
