Customs mobile group in Zlynkovsky district of Bryansk region stopped a truck traveling from the Republic of Belarus to Moscow. According to the documents, the driver was transporting paving slabs, but during the inspection of the car customs officers found grapes. Some of the labels on the boxes had been torn off, while the rest of the goods were marked with labels indicating the Moldovan origin of the fruit

“Since December last year, Rospotrebnadzor has suspended imports of some fruits, including grapes, from the Republic of Moldova because of their high pesticide content,” explained Pavel Kharitonov, acting deputy head of Bryansk customs. – Such products are dangerous for the health of citizens,” Pavel Kharitonov said

The cargo was handed over to Rosselkhoznadzor officials for a decision.
