A working meeting of representatives of law enforcement units of the customs services of Russia and Armenia was held in Vladikavkaz

A working meeting of heads and representatives of law enforcement units of the Federal Customs Service of Russia and the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia was held on the basis of the North Ossetian Customs.
The event was chaired by Vadim Seredin, Head of the North Caucasus Operational Customs. Among the participants of the meeting were Alexey Cherkavsky, Head of the Cynological Center of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, and Karen Balayan, Head of the Cynological Department of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
The topic of the meeting was rendering assistance to the Armenian Customs Service in organizing the activities of cynological units and training of cynologists and service dogs.
Within the framework of the program of events at the Upper Lars customs checkpoint, the specialists-cynologists with service dogs practiced practical exercises on searching for narcotic substances in trucks, cars, luggage, demonstrated some elements of the general training course and tested the working qualities of the service dogs and the skills of specialists – cynologists in searching and detecting the substances. All the special dogs successfully coped with the task, marking training bookmarks with different odors of narcotic substances.
In the end, a round table was held on the topic: «Actual issues on training and application of service dogs on «search of narcotic substances at road checkpoints».
