A criminal case on smuggling of potent substances brought Magadan customs

Magadan customs has opened a criminal case on the fact of contraband of potent substances. Illegal drugs arrived in the parcel from Belarus to the address of the resident of the Magadan region.

Drugs “Methanabol” and “Strombafort” (400 tablets) a resident of the Magadan region ordered by mail for own consumption with the aim of using them as anabolic steroids, to increase lean body mass. During carried out quickly-search actions the parcel was withdrawn. Examination showed that these preparations contained prohibited to import to the territory of the Russian Federation without a prescription prescription potent substances methandienone and stanozolol total weight 34.4 grams.

In respect of the offender Magadan customs has opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code (smuggling of drugs). The article prescribes punishment in the form of imprisonment for the term from three till seven years with the penalty to 1 million roubles.
