More than 20 thousand medical masks gave the Vladivostok customs the Government of Primorsky Krai

21 550 medical masks gave employees of the Vladivostok customs the Government of Primorsky Krai. The mask seized Vladivostok customs, the Russian citizen who tried to illegally send to China.

In March 2020, a Russian citizen planned to send in three post parcels shipment of medical masks at the request of friends from China. When sending invoices in the mail, he indicated that they exported to China gloves. However, for customs clearance of Vladivostok customs officers found in parcels instead of gloves more than 21 thousand of medical masks, Russian, Chinese, Malaysian and Polish production.

The number of masks suggests that the goods moved across the border for commercial purposes and not for personal use. During the unstable sanitary-epidemiological situation in the country the export of medical masks is prohibited.

The offender himself has explained his actions by saying that he did not know of the ban, and “gloves” instead of “masks” indicated in the email invoice by mistake.

According to the head of the Department for the disposal of property and execution of resolutions of the authorized bodies of the Vladivostok customs Eugene Curls, in the region of Vladivostok customs this is the first case of illegal export of goods, so necessary in combating the spread of infectious diseases.

In respect of the sender of postal parcels Vladivostok customs filed cases on administrative offences under part 1 of article 16.2 of the administrative code for the Declaration of goods in the prescribed form and article 16.3 of the administrative code for noncompliance with the prohibitions and restrictions on the export of goods from Russia. By results of consideration by court of the decision on the confiscation of 21 550 medical masks, which are placed at the disposal of the Government of Primorsky Krai.

Help: In order to prevent the emergence of a critical level of lack of medical products and means of individual protection decision of the Board Eurasian economic Commission of 24 March 2020 No. 41 introduced a ban on the export of certain products: medical masks, gowns, gloves, respirators, goggles, antiviral drugs and other essential commodities.
