The results of foreign trade of the northwestern Federal district in January – February 2020

Foreign trade turnover of the northwestern Federal district in January – February 2020 fell by 3.7% compared with January – February of 2019 and amounted to 12 billion 358,7 million dollars.

The volume of exports amounted to 7 billion 36.9 million U.S. dollars, import 5 billion 321,8 million dollars. Exports decreased by 6.4%, imports increased by 0.2%.

In the distribution of exports by regions of the Russian Federation within the northwestern Federal district, leaders of St. Petersburg (48.6 percent), Leningrad oblast (14,9%), Vologda oblast (by 10.6%). First place in imports is St. Petersburg (62,8%), second place – the Kaliningrad region (19,5%), third – Leningrad oblast (by 10.6%).
