From 1 July 2020 year introduced mandatory labelling of footwear, pharmaceuticals and tobacco products. This date is not allowed the import and circulation in Russia of the specified products without labeling. The marking is intended to protect consumers from fraud, to improve collection of tax and customs payments.
The introduction of mandatory labelling is carried out in Russia in stages. The products are applied to identification means in the form of RFID tags, QR code, Data Matrix. This code is unique and contains information about the quality characteristics of the goods.
As explained by the Deputy chief of service of customs control after release of goods of far East customs office Love Khlystova, marking may be carried out before the goods and placing them under the customs procedure of release for domestic consumption or re-import. In addition, the participants of foreign trade activities can cause marking already on the territory of the Russian Federation when placing goods under the customs products customs warehouse.
For effective customs control and traceability of the movement of goods in the customs authorities regulate the right to verify the labeling of goods, declarants responsibility to specify information about the identity of the goods Declaration.
In 2020, the mandatory marking of goods will continue. From 1 October 2020 there will be a mandatory labelling of perfumes and toilet waters, cameras and flashes. From November 1, 2020 introduces mandatory labeling of new tires.
