In 2023, mobile groups of the Federal Customs Service of Russia detected 91.5 thousand tons of goods transported in violation of Russian law.

This included 1.5 thousand tons of “sanctioned goods”, 1.3 thousand tons of products without mandatory marking with means of identification and 476 tons of counterfeit goods.

Almost 20,000 tons of detected goods were intended for illegal export from Russia, including 5,000 tons of machinery and more than 14,000 tons of timber.

Illegal goods were transported by 7.6 thousand vehicles. In cooperation with other regulatory bodies, 152 criminal cases and 2,851 cases of administrative offenses were initiated against the carriers on these facts.
