From February 1, 2024, Vladivostok Customs will change the schedule of clearance of vehicles of individuals for personal use and will switch to a seven-day work mode. This will allow to ensure continuous and uninterrupted clearance of vehicles, as well as reduce their clearance time

By increasing the staff of the customs clearance and customs control departments by 24 units in October last year, the customs posts “Sea Port of Vladivostok” and “Pervomaysky” have now implemented the transition from a five-day working week to a seven-day working week in terms of the clearance of cars for personal use.

-Customs checkpoints have previously cleared goods of individuals on weekends and public holidays. However, it was based on the operational situation or on requests, – said the first deputy head of customs Konstantin Ponomarev. – As promised, now such work will be carried out daily from 8.30 to 20.30, when it is convenient for individuals or their customs representatives. The main result we expect is a tangible reduction in the release time, as previously it was increased due to weekends

In total, in 2023, Vladivostok customs officers released 226,000 vehicles of individuals for personal use – 1.5 times more than last year. These are mostly cars with a volume of 1 to 1.8 liters from Japan and the Republic of Korea
