Chita customs officers revealed more than 107 million rubles worth of violations of currency legislation in 2023

Violations of currency legislation worth 107.6 million rubles were revealed by Chita customs officers for  2023. The violations were revealed in the course of 59 inspections of compliance with currency legislation by participants in foreign economic activity

27 inspections were carried out in respect of timber exporters. Based on the results of the inspections, Chita Customs initiated 124 cases on administrative offenses.

In some inspections, customs officers found several violations of currency legislation at once. Based on the results of inspections Chita Customs initiated 219 cases of administrative offenses under Article 15.25 of the CAO RF (violation of currency legislation of the Russian Federation). Of these: 93 cases were initiated for failure to receive funds from the export of goods, 6 cases – for failure to return funds for goods not imported into Russia, 120 cases – for violation of the established deadlines for submission of accounting and reporting forms.
