Chelyabinsk customs officers handed over more than a ton of sugar to the People’s Front

1.2 tons of confiscated sugar was donated by Chelyabinsk customs to the regional branch of the People’s Front.
The sugar, banned for export, was earlier detained by inspectors of the mobile group in cooperation with the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region when moving to Kazakhstan.
The customs officers initiated an administrative case against the violators, within the framework of which the sugar was seized and turned into the property of the state. The Federal Customs Service decided to hand over the goods to representatives of the movement «People’s Front «For Russia».
this is not the first time Chelyabinsk Customs has cooperated with the Chelyabinsk branch of the People’s Front «People’s Front «For Russia». Thanks to the decision taken by the Federal Customs Service to transfer sugar free of charge, the existing demand for this product is covered» – comments the head of Chelyabinsk Customs Mikhail Ponomarev.
«All the received goods will be sent within the framework of humanitarian mission to the military units participating in the special military operation, where South Urals fighters serve. Today the received experience of transfer of goods will allow us to increase the humanitarian mission to Donbass» – noted the coordinator of the executive committee of the People’s Front in the Chelyabinsk region Anastasia Elizarova.
In total, this year Chelyabinsk Customs has donated 5 batches of sugar weighing more than 42 tons to social service institutions of Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions and to the regional branch of «People’s Front».
