120 capsules with potent substance found the Chita customs officers in the Luggage of Russian women

Employees of the Chita customs found in the bag from the tourist who was returning from China to Russia through the checkpoint MAPP Zabaikalsk, 120 capsules pharmaceuticals manufacturing China, Packed in plastic bottles. The examination found that the drugs contains a potent substance sibutramine, total weight 27,6 gram, which is included in the list of poisonous substances, prohibited for importation and trafficking in Russia.

On this fact the Chita customs concerning the citizen of Russia opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 226.1 of the Russian criminal code (Smuggling of potent, poisonous, toxic substances). The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of imprisonment for the term from three till seven years with the penalty to one million roubles.

As told the acting Deputy chief of the Chita customs Alexey Rozhnov, such crimes detected at the checkpoint checkpoint “Zabaikalsk” are systemic in nature. For 2019 was initiated 14 criminal cases on the facts of cross-border movement of drugs for weight loss which in their composition contain potent agent sibutramine.
