Samara Airport uncovered a number of cases of drug weed imports

Since the beginning of the year at Kurumoch Airport, Samara customs officers have seized almost 1 kg of drug-containing plants – herb “garmala” – from passengers arriving in Samara from neighboring countries.

In April and May, officers of the Samara Airport customs post revealed four cases of illegal transportation of dried herb “garmala” in the luggage of passengers as part of selective control in the “green” corridor

As a result of expert examinations conducted, the substance garmin, which is included in the List of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors subject to control in the Russian Federation, was found in the composition of the objects presented.

Thereby, in the actions of citizens there are signs of crimes under Article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (smuggling of plants containing narcotic drugs)
