UTAH informs about the adoption of the Eurasian economic Commission Decision of 29 April 2020, No. 47, “amending certain terms of the importation of goods for personal use”
On the website of the Eurasian economic Commission (hereinafter – EEC) (http://www.eurasiancommission.org/ru/nae/news/Pages/18-05-2020-2.aspx) may 18, 2020 provides information on the adoption of the EEC Decision dated April 29, 2020 No. 47, “amending certain terms of the importation of goods for personal use” (hereinafter – the Decision) (attached).
According to the posted information, the EEC Council extended until 30 September 2020 for individuals, the time location of cars and other vehicles, temporarily imported into the customs territory of the Eurasian economic Union (hereinafter EAEC).
Also the EEC was suspended until 30 September for 18-month period when possible preferential duty-free import into the Union of personal property of foreign citizens with the status of persons who moved to permanent residence in the Eurasian economic Union, refugee, forced migrant.
The decision applies to cases which have arisen or will arise from 1 March to 30 September 2020.
The Decision is caused by the inability of citizens to exercise their rights and perform obligations in connection with the adopted in the EEU measures to combat the spread of coronavirus infection.
The decision does not apply to periods of temporary import of vehicles of international transport, including the temporarily imported transport vehicles for international carriage cars.
