In 2023, a record amount of tea was imported to the Urals from China: 60 tons for more than 100 thousand dollars. Last year the total weight of Chinese tea was 7 tons, and the value – 21 thousand dollars. Thus, imports increased 8 times.
«Judging by the weight characteristics of the imported products, green tea is preferred in the Urals: it was imported significantly more. The share of green tea was 48 tons, and black tea – 12 tons» – stressed Alexey Frolov, Head of the Ural Customs Department.
