Ural ice cream is popular abroad. Local producers are finding new logistical solutions for the future development of this segment
“Urals companies are entering potentially promising markets, with Vietnam in their immediate plans. All permits and certificates for product sales have already been obtained. This year the Urals region presented a wide range of ice cream at the Russian-Chinese EXPO in Harbin. It was noted that the products meet the established taste traditions of the residents of many countries, as they were produced according to the Soviet quality standards. Development of export logistics, introduction of new measures of support for participants of foreign economic activity, adaptation to changes in demand contribute to further increase of ice cream export volumes”, – noted Alexey Frolov, Head of the Urals Customs Department
Since the beginning of the year, regional producers have exported almost 200 tons of ice cream with a total value of $680 thousand. Compared to last year, the growth in physical terms amounted to 66%, in value terms – 45%. And 71% of the total export volume falls on Kazakhstan and 29% – on the PRC. Thus, almost 139 tons of ice cream was shipped to Central Asia for more than 500 thousand U.S. dollars. 55 tons of cold delicacy worth 152 thousand dollars were shipped to the Celestial Empire
