Ural customs officers have cleared the import of a large shipment of goods for outdoor activities. 2.5 tons of sap-boards and more than 5 tons of swimming pools worth more than 20 thousand US dollars arrived in Ekaterinburg from the People’s Republic of China

For the first quarter of 2024  more than 150 tons of such “summer” goods were imported to the Urals, with China being the key importer. Compared to the same period last year, the growth in weight terms is almost 9 times.

I emphasize that the most popular are frame models of swimming pools. These were imported from the PRC almost more than 140 tons, which is 29 times more than in 2023. Another 4 tons of pools were imported from Pakistan. The high demand for these products can be attributed both to the hot weather in some regions during the summer months and the fact that people in the Urals have begun to spend more time improving their dacha plots,” said Alexei Frolov, head of the Urals Customs Directorate
