Ural customs administration has provided business benefit in the amount of 5.5 billion rubles

From 1 January 2020 apply the provisions of the Tax code of the Russian Federation, exempting individual categories of imported civil aircraft from VAT. These changes are aimed to help the airlines in the fleet upgrade.

In difficult economic conditions of the current period, one of the largest regional airlines have decided to take the opportunity of import of aircraft with exemption from customs payments.

Since the beginning of the year the company issued 6 civil passenger aircraft with a capacity from 140 to 230 seats. The total amount of savings of the carrier was 5.5 billion rubles.

“Granting privileges for the import of aircraft will certainly help airlines to reduce costs and improve operational activities by renewal of the aircraft fleet. Customs and tax preferences is one of the most effective ways to support business in the current situation”, – said the head of Ural customs administration Maxim Cmore.
