Tyumen customs on the illegal export of timber

Tyumen customs in conjunction with the Department of natural resources and environmental protection of the Kurgan region, the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for the Kurgan region is working to control the legality of the move and the export of timber from the Russian Federation. From the beginning of 2020 in the framework of interagency cooperation, the control was exercised in respect of 189 vehicles.

“The results of joint control revealed violations in respect of 9 vehicles. Over 180 tons of timber trespassers were planning to take out without a proper permit documents”, – said the Deputy head of the Department for control over the importation and trafficking of goods the customs Sergey Haduk.

Representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the lack of phytosanitary certificates opened 4 cases on administrative offences under article 10.2 of the administrative code of Russia. The decision to ban the export of goods.

In respect of the five carriers who tried to take out timber without supporting documents for transportation of the wood, the materials are transferred to the police for excitation of Affairs about administrative offences under article 8.28 of the administrative offences code of Russia.
