Trying to “save” on customs duties has failed and ended in a fine

Failure ended the attempt of the entrepreneurs to deceive the Russian legislation. The company has put in our country of the workpiece for the manufacture of sporting medals and badges of non-precious metal plated. Not to pay all required customs duties, the businessman at the customs clearance of goods in the declarations indicated an incomplete description of the goods and enter the classification code under which customs duties have a lower rate. In the submitted documents also contained false information.

Thus, he briefly managed to “save” 2.6 million rubles. After the fraud was discovered and criminal proceedings were instituted, the hapless businessman in full transferred the whole amount of unpaid customs duties to the state Treasury. But it did not help him completely avoid responsibility for their actions act. The court has appointed to the businessman the penalty in hundred thousand roubles.
