There’s still time: until 30 September, extended the term of temporary import of vehicles for individuals and suspended the deadlines to receive benefits under the resettlement to permanent residence in the EEU countries

Until September 30, 2020 extended:

– the period of temporary importation of vehicles for personal use that will expire any day between 1 March and 30 September;

– customs Declaration with the aim of export of temporarily imported vehicles from the customs territory of the EAEU.

These provisions are established by the decision of the Council of the Eurasian economic Commission dated 29.04.2020 No. 47 and aimed at protecting the rights of citizens in terms of existing measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-2019.

For the extension to individuals there is no need to leave the house, says the Deputy head of customs control organization of Department Irina Zakharova: “For extension of period of temporary importation of vehicles of physical persons are not required to apply to the customs authority, we’ll do it ourselves. It should be noted that the extension of the deadline does not absolve persons from compliance with specified limits for temporary import of cars and a duty of re-exported at the expiry of this period. When exporting such vehicles until September 30, 2020, individuals will apply measures for collection of customs payments and administrative impact”.

Also from 1 March to 30 September suspended the time limits for receipt of benefits on payment of customs payments at import of property and vehicles in connection with the relocation of individuals to relocate. Recall is 18 months from the date of issue of the document confirming the recognition of the person who moved for permanent residence, and 12 months (in Russia) in possession of the vehicle prior to the relocation (letter “a” and the second paragraph of subparagraph b of paragraph 6 of the Annex No. 3 to the Decision of the Board Eurasian economic Commission of December 20, 2017 No. 107).
