The Sakhalin customs office has opened two criminal cases on smuggling of potent substances

Another two criminal cases filed by Sakhalin customs officers on the facts of contraband of potent substances. Illegal drugs for weight loss ordered by mail from the resident of Sakhalin.

In the first case citizen residing in Poronaysk, acquired on one of the Kazakhstan sites 200 capsules of a drug for weight loss, “Rex beans”. The examination shows that in its composition contains a potent substance sibutramine, the turnover of which in Russia is prohibited. The total weight of the substance is 8 grams.

In another case, a resident of S. Chapaevo Korsakov district ordered by mail from Kazakhstan 60 capsules of the drug “useless”, also containing sibutramine. Weight potent substances made up of 10 grams.

In both cases, the girls ordered drugs without a doctor knowing about criminal consequences.

Sakhalin customs has opened a criminal case on cases of illegal trafficking of potent substances (part 1 of article 226.1 OF THE CRIMINAL CODE). The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of imprisonment for the term from three till seven years with the penalty to one million roubles.

In the current year it already the fourth criminal case on the facts of contraband of potent substances, excited by the Sakhalin customs. In one case, a criminal case initiated on the fact of illegal movement of almost 1 kg of sibutramine.

For the entire 2019 Sakhalin customs officers was initiated 4 criminal cases for similar crimes.
