The North Ossetian customs officers found more than 170 thousand packs of cigarettes from the UAE in the tank for liquefied gas

About 171 thousand packs of cigarettes from the UAE found the customs in the delayed at the checkpoint “Upper Lars” (North Ossetia) the trailer-tank for transportation of liquefied natural gas, EN route from Georgia.

The detention was carried out by officials of the North Ossetian customs cooperation with FSB of Russia on RSO-Alania and police Ministry of internal Affairs RSO-Alania.

The contents of the tanks marked “Propane” customs officers checked with the use of inspection complexes. On the received x-rays in the cavity of the tank, the customs officers saw foreign objects. During the inspection the tank was found a large quantity of boxes and cartons of cigarettes brands Malimbo and Richman (United Arab Emirates).

According to expert opinion, the cost of this shipment of tobacco products is 5.5 million rubles.

On the fact of illegal movement of tobacco products in the large size of the North Ossetian customs has opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 200.2 of the criminal code.
