A passenger on an Astrakhan-Baku flight tried to illegally export more than 350,000 rubles

Customs officers found a large amount of cash: more than 1.2 million rubles and 95 Azerbaijani manats, or more than 14,000 U.S. dollars in equivalent (at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the date of movement).

A case on administrative offense under article 16.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (non-declaration of cash by an individual) has been initiated against the citizen

Inquiry:

The export from Russia of foreign currency in cash and (or) monetary instruments in foreign currency in the amount exceeding the equivalent of 10 thousand US dollars is prohibited. Thus, when taking out of the country cash in different currencies, it is permissible to exceed the norm only in rubles, and the entire amount must be declared.

That is, the amount of cash in foreign currency and (or) monetary instruments in foreign currency is prohibited
