While conducting a customs inspection of a large shipment of equipment for dairy farms, Novorossiysk customs officers discovered more than half a ton of undeclared goods. The milking equipment was ordered by a Kaliningrad entrepreneur from Turkey

– The declaration did not specify 12 devices for milking cows and about 200 components for them. The market value of the seized goods amounted to about 600 thousand rubles, – commented Maria Miroshnichenko, commissioner for especially important cases of the department of administrative investigations of Novorossiysk customs

The entrepreneur was brought to administrative responsibility under part 1 of article 16.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (failure to declare goods subject to customs declaration in the prescribed form), a fine of 299,000 rubles was imposed

Novorossiysk customs reminds that participants of foreign economic activity can, before submitting a declaration to the customs authority, inspect the goods in advance and make sure that their quantity and characteristics correspond to the concluded contract (Article 84 of the Customs Code of the EAEU)
