The illegal importation into Russia of 1,400 packs of cigarettes in caches was stopped.
Krasnodar customs officers continue to stop attempts to illegally import tobacco products from the Republic of Abkhazia. Since the beginning of this year on the facts of illegal movement of tobacco products across the Russian-Abkhazian border, 100 cases of administrative offenses have already been initiated.
Only in the last week at the automobile component of the customs post of the IACP Adler during customs and border control detained four cars in which tried to transport cigarettes with concealment
In the car LADA 2107 after examination with the use of MIDC during further inspection in the interior of the vehicle behind the rear backrest of the passenger seat and under its trim, customs officers found bags in which 500 packs of cigarettes “FRESHPAK THE KING BLACK TITAN” were tightly packed.

After an inspection of a HYUNDAI ACCENT car, the tobacco “assortment” was found in the dashboard of the car. In this stash the offenders tried to smuggle 650 packs of BUSINESS ROYALS Superslims cigarettes.
In two other cars VAZ 21103 and VAZ 21124, which arrived at the customs post late at night at the same time, cigarettes were hidden in the glove compartment, dashboard and in a specially equipped compartment made by removing the cabin heating system. From these hidden places, customs officers recovered 250 packs of “CHAPMAN” cigarettes
A total of 1,400 packs of cigarettes were prevented from being imported. Tobacco products, produced in Germany, were transported without Russian excise stamps and special markings. Currently, the goods and cars have been seized, and cases on administrative offenses under part 2 of article 16.1 and article 16.3 of the Administrative Code of Russia have been initiated.
