South Customs Operatives Discover Narcotics in Left Sneaker

Employees of the Southern Operational Customs discovered drugs in the left sneaker.

A 33-year-old resident of Volgodonsk was undergoing customs control at the Adler checkpoint of the Krasnodar Customs, heading to Abkhazia. During the customs inspection, an employee of the anti-drug department found a packet with a white powdery substance in the man’s left sneaker. According to the specialist’s conclusion, the substance contained a derivative of N-methylephedrone, which is included in the list of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors subject to control in the Russian Federation. The total weight of the seized substance is large for this type of narcotic drug. The Southern Operational Customs has initiated a criminal case against the resident of Volgodonsk under Article 229.1, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal transportation of narcotic drugs in large quantities).
