Smuggling of timber of almost 11 million rubles were revealed by employees of the Vladivostok customs

Smuggling of 534 cubic metres of valuable wood were discovered by the staff of the Vladivostok customs together with the Vladivostok linear Department of internal Affairs of Russia on transport. The value of the illegally exported to China timber products amounted to more than 10.8 million rubles.

According to the head of the investigation Department of the Vladivostok customs Alexey Ksenofontov, strategically important resources – timber of elm stick and Linden Amur attackers were taken through front companies that were used as producers, suppliers of timber, but in fact the preparation and implementation was not engaged.

When the customs Declaration was declared false information about the origin of the product and its manufacturer. As a result of criminal actions of valuable breeds of wood illegally exported to China on forged documents.

On the fact of smuggling of timber by the Vladivostok customs office opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code “Illegal transfer of strategically important resources in the large size”. Malefactors are threatened by imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years and a large fine.
