Smolensk customs: the results of law enforcement activities for the first half of 2020

For the 6 months 2020 to Smolensk customs initiated 18 criminal cases. 9 of them – on smuggling of potent substances (article 226.1 of the criminal code). As a result of the illicit seizure 753,58 grams of hard substances.

One criminal case under part 3 of article 30 − part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code – attempt on the smuggling of cultural values in the large size. Citizen of the Republic of Belarus tried without permitting documents out of Russia 30 coins of different years of release (from 1705 until 1986). By results of examination 21 coin was of no cultural value. Among them there are both copper, gold and silver. One of them minted more than 300 years ago, and five have age more than 200 years. Their total market value amounted to more than one million rubles.

For the evasion of customs payments collected from organizations committed in large and especially large size three criminal cases. The amount of evasion from payment of customs payments amounted to about 14.7 million rubles.

Two criminal cases were instituted on the fact of evasion from execution of duties for the repatriation of funds committed in large and especially large size.

“The amount of the unreturned funds related to the facts of evasion by representatives of organizations from the duties of the repatriation of funds in large and especially large sizes, in the framework of criminal cases amounted to 168,78 million rubles”, – said acting Deputy head of customs Alexander Seals.

Two criminal cases were instituted on the fact of illegal transfer of strategically important resources – “poultry” and “salmon trimmings”, on a large scale. After the production of urgent investigative actions criminal cases submitted to the territorial body of internal Affairs for preliminary investigation.
