Smolensk customs officers have detained more than 20 tons of meat

Two cars tried to smuggle across the Smolensk region the suspicious beef.

In the first car, according to shipping documents, was carrying more than 5 tons of Paraguayan beef and 1.7 tons of Russian side of bacon was moved from Kaliningrad at the Cherkizovsky meat processing plant. However, during the verification of veterinary documents the inspectors identified that one of the veterinary certificates voided, and the second is extinguished.

For further verification and decision concerning the detained goods vehicle with a load of customs officers transferred to the staff of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Bryansk and Smolensk regions.

Another car was stopped on the same day in the area of the settlement of Krasnaya Gorka Krasninskoe district of Smolensk region. From the territory of Belarus to Russia was attempting to smuggle 17 tonnes of Belarusian beef. During the inspection of the cargo compartment, the customs officers noticed that some quarters were unreadable imprints of veterinary stamps. The goods detained for further verification.
