Omsk customs officers from the department of control over the import and turnover of goods revealed in one of the city’s shopping centers 1,257 units of tobacco and nicotine-containing products without mandatory marking with means of identification.

The nicotine-containing products were discovered as part of the control over the turnover of goods on the domestic market together with officers of the police department № 4 of the Omsk Department of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The detected tobacco and nicotine-containing products in illegal circulation included containers with liquid for electronic nicotine delivery devices, refilled disposable electronic nicotine delivery devices, packages of hookah tobacco and chewing tobacco
The goods were withdrawn from illegal circulation, and the Omsk entrepreneur is being investigated.
In 2023, Omsk customs officers seized more than 30,000 units of unlabeled tobacco and nicotine-containing products from the trade turnover.
