In addition, from January to June, customs officers found 4 GPS trackers and glasses with a built-in video camera and microphone in international parcels. Experts recognized these items as devices for covertly obtaining visual and acoustic information, as well as data on the movement of objects.

The law does not allow such items to be used for covertly obtaining visual and acoustic information, as well as data on the movement of objects

The law prohibits such items from being moved across the border without special authorization. The sets of lock picks and other goods prohibited for transfer were seized. In the actions of the addressees of the parcels there are signs of a crime under Article 138.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal circulation of special technical means intended for the unauthorized acquisition of information)

Information about these facts, officers of the Siberian operative and Novosibirsk customs authorities have transferred to law enforcement agencies for procedural decisions.
