Altai customs officers prevented the illegal export of 2.7 tons of automobile oils to Kazakhstan

When inspecting the truck bound for Kazakhstan, customs officers found 79 canisters of gear oil and 384 canisters of motor oil, totaling 2,740 liters. At the time of crossing the state border of the Russian Federation, the declaration for oil products was not submitted to the customs authorities

Customs officers seized illegally transported goods worth more than 1 million rubles

A case on administrative offense was initiated against the shipper under part 1 of article 16.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Russia – failure to declare goods subject to customs declaration in the prescribed form.

For reference: In accordance with Article 3 of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on trade and economic cooperation in the supply of oil and oil products to the Republic of Kazakhstan of December 9, 2010, the export of goods of commodity position 2710 of the HS of the EAEU from the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan is subject to customs declaration. This is due to the need to ensure energy and economic security of the Russian Federation in the functioning of the EAEU and to ensure control over the export of energy resources from Russia to member states of the EAEU
