STU delegation took part in the International Exhibition of Mining Technologies “Coal of Russia and Mining”

Experts from the Siberian Customs Directorate, led by STU head Alexander Yastrebov, and representatives of Kemerovo Customs took part in the specialized exhibition “Russian Coal and Mining” held in Novokuznetsk

The customs officers examined the exposition of loading, drilling and quarry equipment, mining equipment, dump trucks and machine tools presented by manufacturers from different countries of the world. As part of the exhibition, STU experts held a round table for representatives of the business community on the classification of machinery and equipment in accordance with the HS of the EAEU, ensuring compliance with technical regulation measures, as well as the introduction of promising customs technologies and development of customs infrastructure

The event also spoke about the situation in the region’s foreign trade. Noting, in particular, that the geography of deliveries of hard coal, predominant in the commodity structure of exports of Kuzbass, currently counts more than 20 countries of far and near abroad. In general, organizations of the Kemerovo Region trade with partners from 91 countries of the world. At the same time Kuzbass has new markets and supplier countries: only since the beginning of the year the region has added 5 partner countries in exports and 3 in imports

“Support of the Russian mining, processing industry, fuel and energy companies and defense industry are the priority areas of our work,” said Alexander Yastrebov, head of the STU, “Just because of the zero export duty rate on hard coal in 2024, Kuzbass companies exporting this commodity will save about 4 billion rubles

Additionally, the largest exhibition “Russian Coal and Mining” is held 32 times in a row, it brings together representatives of the mining industry from different regions of Russia and foreign countries
